I never think before I speak....

Sassy, “I’ve decided I’m never getting married.”

“What? Oh, honey. Don't say that. Some day you’ll find a guy who will just be crazy over you!”

Sassy, “MOM! I already HAD one of those! Jesus. I don’t want to go through THAT again!”

Yes, there is laughter again…………..

  4. The judge pounded his gavel and said, "Mickey Mouse, this court has found Minnie Mouse to be mentally competent and cannot justify your request for a divorce on grounds of insanity."

Mickey said, "But your honor, I didn't say she was crazy. I said she was fucking Goofy!"

"crazy" may have been a bad choice of words!

  12. Nope, wrong avenue... one day Sassy is gonna find a MAN who SHE is crazy about and one that she will want behind her every step of the way.

  13. Thank goodness for laughter....

With my pending divorce, my sweet daughter told me that she hopes I meet a good man...because a man would make my life easier...

I said, but honey, your dad didn't make my life easier...

    Oh lord...Let the laughter begin!!!

  14. Well, "crazy" may not have been the best choice of words. But it's true - one day she will find the "right" guy who also happens to be "stable"?

I suffer from Foot in Mouth disease. It's very painful.

  15. Well I have to agree with Sassy. Who says a girl (or guy) HAS to get married to be happy. Wait, my mom does too.

  23. I can soooo see this conversation happening in my house (but in reverse; sideways; kinda since mine's a boy....)

I'm glad things are going well. Have been following this saga from the sidelines.

From the sounds of it; you've raised a strong girl and all will be fine in the end!

  24. That's like the time The Girl came home after watching the adult relationship video in religion class and declared she was "never having children. No man was going to put anything in her and no kid was coming our of her!"
It's funny how they make these statements with conviction and I love that she is able to laugh once again. Good on her.

  33. At her age? Never wanting to be married isn't so much a bad thing.

But she will meet someone and they will both swoon. Trust me. I've heard of it happening before. :-)
