Making good use of those Starbucks gift cards.

Look what I found while cleaning the playroom after school yesterday. BILLIONS of dollars worth of toys, and this is what they found to play with. (Anyone care to guess what it is?)

(If you have a chance, visit Corey. His niece is doing a class project!!!)

  1. Ok, Im freaking useless at guessing, but it looks like a pastry cutter/crimper with a swizzle stick shoved in it...

Or maybe thats just what those things look like where I come from.

  2. Okay.... wild guess. A pie crust trimmer and a skewer for martini olives?

  4. For sewing? A pattern marker? Although--the pastry crimper sounds right, too. Don't you love kids? Kind of like the $$ spent on toys when the boxes were all they were interested in!

  5. I swear they find anything besides the stuff you give them to play with! Do you know how much fun can be had with staples in the carpeting!

  6. It does look like a pastry roller. I have no idea what the green thing is, or what it has to do with Starbucks... enlighten me..?

  7. OBVIOUSLY it's a playdough pattern roller skewered by one of the little doo-hickeys they give you at Starbucks to stick into the sipping hole in the lid so that the liquid doesn't slosh out when you walk/drive.

And I don't even teach kindergarten.

    Pshaw.

  8. I think it's a cutter for Play-do and one of those gizmo's for Matchbox cars to make them zoom across the room (hey! I haven't had little kids at hoe in along time! I forget what this stuff is called!)

OH!! And I'm THRILLED with the Walmart gift card!!! I'm going to use it on ME!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

  9. It's a sickle? Bonus points earns kiddos the priviledge of cutting your grass?

  10. Kids enjoy the most bizarre "toys." My little brother played with a littler roller meant to roll bubbles out of wallpaper. My son's favorite "toy" is a paper bowl. Yeah, that's right...he plays for ages with an empty disposable bowl. I don't get it, but I don't really care either.

  11. That looks like some kind of pasta cutter, but kind of reminds me of those flat, round typewriter erasers - the ones with the brush attached to the end. (I think I'm dating myself here.)

  12. Those really came in handy during the rush to make it back before the end of Show and Tell

  15. Wait, they weren't using the non-spill thingys as swords? What's wrong with those kids?

  16. A leaf blower made with a playdoh cutter & a Starbucks stirrer?

  17. A playdoh tool and a stirring stick?

  18. The green item is what Starbucks places in the sipping hole on the lid of your cup to keep it from spilling. Yes, I spend way too much time and money there.

  20. Why, Vodka Mom, I'm guessing that's a vodka swizzel stick!
But of course, how would I know...

  21. It's a plastic thingy.

  22. looks like a play...DOH! cutter with a coffee stirrer/thing the keeps the coffee from coming out of the lid!

  23. Around these parts we would call that a dog torturing device. But I can't be sure what you're using it for on your side of the country.

  24. You should run an experiment and leave weird (yet safe) stuff out to see what they play with. Then, invent a toy like it and become RICH!

  25. Don't you wish they would give you Liquor Store Gift Cards?

  26. Tell us, tell us!
It's not a stirrer, is it?

  28. Just saw those things for the first time on our vacation in Florida.

They plug the sip-hole in your togo cup.

  29. It's a doohickey for my thingamabob. How did you get it?

  30. It's a play-doh-mabob with a Starbucks stopper stuck through it so they can poke out the eyes of whatever evil lurks outside the Fisher-Price doll house?

  31. coffee stirrer? and a dough roller crimp doohickey?

  32. The green thingy looks kind of like a zip-tie (I know - it's so weird that I know about zip-tie's). That other doo-hickey has just got me flummoxed! Look at all the fun words I got to use in one comment!

  33. I'm commenting here because I can't stand to give P the pleasure of reading my comment. Love you. Do NOT let mean internet people bug you. They have fucked up code where their souls should be.

  34. The green thing is the filler Starbucks gives out to keep people from wasting coffee on themselves as they walk out. I think the white wheel is a play doh cutter.

  35. Haven't you gotten in trouble for leaving your olive sticks around the play mat before? Jeez, they aren't supposed to KNOW you're drinking on the job. (Which if I had your job, I'd totally be doing)
