9/29/10

It's official; I'm in love.

Yesterday Frank wore this t-shirt to school.

Oh, and his sister's black leggings.

I laughed all day long. Even when he yelled; when he threw the lego man across the room; and even when he turned the volume up full blast while playing the pumpkin song from Starfall on the computer. I could NOT stop smiling every time I looked at him.

This year? He will do no wrong.

Don't forgetting, I'm involved in Jane Lynch's Text Ed program over at BlogHer! Stop over and check it out!! We're discussing decoding your teens texting lingo! We all need a texting dictionary, I'm sure.

Bless his little heart. What was he doing wearing his sister's leggings?

Yup, I think by the end of the year,we're ALL going to heart Frank.

I recently saw a little boy with a t-shirt that read "My favorite color is dirt." Maybe he borrowed it from Frank.

I have sent my 5 y/o to school in a shirt that says "Drama is my middle name" ... knowing full well that it's true.

I often wondered what the teacher thought when he read the shirt.

I bought it for a reason. Do you think he chuckled like you did with Frank?

I know what you mean. I love it when my husband wears my black leggings.

At least Frank is honest. I think that's what we all love about him!

t-shirt and black leggings? does that qualify in the dress code in Smythe, Oregon? I would have laughed all day too!

I love to read your posts, and today was especially good, because, I have a "Frank" at home. He too is in kindergarten this year, and one day he wore his Ohio State jersey, his Packers long sleeve tee underneath, and his Steelers warm up pants. It was "football" friday, afterall. So glad to hear that "Frank" found a way into your heart, because maybe my little guy can win over his teacher with his creativity too. :)

I, too, love Frank and apparently so does his mom, who lets him wear whatever he wants to school.

Oh my god! I am SO glad he has YOU for his teacher! A different teacher would SQUASH his inner self by constantly nagging him to "be quiet" and "stop that" and... I've personally heard kindergarten teachers telling kids WAY worse things.
THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING HIM TO BE HIMSELF!!!!!
(Good luck to him for next year.)
=-)

Frank is obviously unaware of how much he has you wrapped around his lego-pitching fingers, LOL. I love Frank...and your awesome sense humor.

Fantastic!

(Wonder if they have shirts like this that say "double trouble"?)

I love that kids do things they think are totally cool and ok, and when we laugh hysterically-inevitably- they hate us for it. How can we help it??

Too cute! Thanks for the StarFall reminder. I miss those irritating songs!

You go Frank! I'm glad he has such an awesome teacher. My daughter wore things like a pink tutu with black fur lined snow boots. Her kindergarten teacher said she wished she lived in Mo's head. Yeah, it wasn't just the clothes, that kid of mine is more fun that a circus. I'm so glad she had teachers that encouraged her to be who she is. She's 17 and still dresses weird, but who cares!

I LOVE that you let Frank be himself! I wish my son had a kindergarten teacher like you the first time around. And yeah, I heart Frank too!

there a few kids in my class who could probably benefit from wearing leggings. little toy throwing, friend hitting, book snatching monsters!

Frank reminds me of my six year old son. His first day of preschool, he wore a t-shirt that said "Hello my Name is Trouble."

Well, of course, the leggings make the outfit.
