We have a little character this year named Emily. She is Sassy with a CAPITAL S.
Today I sensed something a little fishy and walked with her over to her cubby. I reached in to get the balled-up paper towel that was shoved inside and imagine my surprise when a pair of our kindergarten scissors fell out.
She looked at me and said matter-of factly, "Well. THAT'S disturbing."
I might gift wrap them for her for the end of the year. (She's money, people. M.O.N.E.Y.)
Totally, completely awesome. I want to know that girl when she grows up.
ReplyDeleteThat totally made me snort! I love it!
ReplyDeleteShe will be trouble. Mark my words.
ReplyDeleteOBVIOUSLY, she was framed. Damn kids.
ReplyDeleteEncourage her to write. She's got the personality for it.
ReplyDeleteOh damn, to be five and absolutely blameless.I love Emily, and Frank. My Christmas list is getting longer.
ReplyDeleteOh boy, did I need that laugh. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThat is disturbingly funny!
ReplyDeleteThat one made me snort out loud...lol
ReplyDeleteOh, you are going to have your hands full with that little one!
ReplyDeleteI give her five years before she makes my case list. Little felons start young these days
ReplyDeleteI love hearing little kids like Emily! They not only repeat what they hear at home, but they get the context and inflection exactly right. These kid just plain make me laugh!
ReplyDeleteShe is the kind of kid who used to be called "precocious". (I haven't heard the term lately. Now, they are all called "gifted"! I think precocious says it better!
Looks like back pack searches are going to have to be done before the kids exit the classroom.
ReplyDeletePS - make sure your purse is locked up in a desk drawer.
OMG! I'm trying to imagine Emily and Frank playing together. I think my head just exploded!
ReplyDeleteNot the crayons or glitter - but the scissors. Why yes, that is disturbing.
ReplyDeleteDisturbing for sure! Just curious, did you talk to her parents?
ReplyDeleteSeems you have a little Paris Hilton on your hands.
ReplyDeleteThat kid is a piece of work. I'm impressed with how fast she thinks on her feet.
ReplyDeleterounded tips or pointy? what?
ReplyDeleteWas she also running with the scissors?
ReplyDeleteToday, scissors.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow, glue.
In 7 years, juvy.
Priceless!
ReplyDeleteI wonder if she's the mastermind or if Frank is...
ReplyDeleteKeep your eye on that one. She sounds like bloggy gold!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, that's my daughter. She would totally do that. She's getting sneakier now that she's 7.
ReplyDeletetotally, disturbingly funny...
ReplyDeleteThis is totally awesome...what a character!
ReplyDeleteA much better response than the classic, "How did that get there?" I love her creativity!
