Today in reading groups, we did a sound activity.
"Boys and girls, I'm going to hold up a picture and I want you to tell me the letter sound that this picture begins with. The LETTER SOUND that the picture begins with."
I held up this picture.

Frank yelled, " HELL!! HELL, HELL, HELL!!!"
and so endeth the lesson...

That kid is freakin' awesome!!!
Oh, this one is priceless! You don't, by chance, work at a Christian school, do you?
My 17 teener volunteers at a preschool. The mom of one of the cherubims told her that her son asked if "Katya could come for a sleepover?", and he is only four!
Let's set him up on a playdate with Frank!
I'm still chuckling about "hell".
You mean that Hell is not a letter sound? Ooops. I've been so using it the wrong way.
I love Frank!
I think it's safe to say that we all love Frank just a little bit more every day!
Love that kid!! You do know, don't you, that there's no way in (that place he was talking about) that you are ever gonna come out on top with him by the end of the year? In fact, by April, HE will probably be the teacher!! That's ok, they say a rest home is a lot like kindergarten! :D LOL!!
Have I told you about the time Danger Boy, in first grade, told the teacher during a rhyming activity that "I know a word that rhymes with 'duck' but I don't think you want me to say it?"
Hahahaha...gonna be a looooooooong year! Fun, but long.
Oh Frank, you make my day so much brighter!
and my verification word? copain
Frank, you are everywhere!
Hehe! Not to one-up Frank, but my daughter, who's in first grade, was doing her homework. She had to draw two pictures that had the "AR" sound somewhere in the word. One of the words she chose to draw? Fart!
I figured her teacher would get a laugh out of that!
Thank you so much for sharing Frnak with us... brightens my day.
Frank is my favorite, I think. Smart as a whip and pretty sly too.
Does he bring a pitchfork to school or does that violate the zero-tolerance weapons policy?
You signed a lease?!
Excellent!
Not too much longer now.
=-)
Only from Frank!!!
Love love love your blog and FRANK! I wanna ask you a favor. i need a teacher perspective on my blog. If you could take a few mins (if you have it between grading, and working, and kids lol) and pop over to read my olatest blog post about my kids and their school. As i sai di really need a teacher perspective. Thanks.
You need to write a children's book and call it 'Quite Frank'. His name is literally his demeanor.
He is such a card!
Lol! Love it! Can't wait till you teach rhyming with him!
Only you and Frank can make me laugh until I cry just from reading. What a year this has been already! And yeah, might not want to be rhyming with duck or truck or anything like that
so much withthe road to hell being paved with good intentions...i'll just take the hellicpoter....
Do you think Frank's parents would be open to adoption? Or even a trade? I have 3 children that I'm not really doing anything with - I'll trade them all for Frank...ok, maybe just my 13 yr old daughter...have them call me...
You know, with a good illustrator Frank stories would make a great comic strip. Love that kid!
LOL brilliant!
NOW I know he was sent, without a doubt, by God to crack you up.
Ah yes, another inappropriate comment kid in the making. He's cute now, but just wait until Jr. high.
Just want you to know...when I need a daily dose of laughter, I pop open my browser window to your blog. Thanks and keep the chuckles coming!
