It's HIGHLY possible that I'm her birth mother.

During morning meeting we had an animated discussion about what the kids wanted to be when they grow up. The discussion then drifted along with us as we started our learning centers.

Daisy asked, “Mrs. Smythe, can a woman be president?”

“Yes they can! But a woman hasn’t been one yet.” I replied.

Daisy then declared, “I want to be president some day!”

“That sounds great! It would be fun to run for president…”

“RUN? RUN??? Nevermind then - I can't even jog!”

BAHAHAHAHA!

I hope you turned your back and laughed. Because that's what I would have done. Followed by going over to her and hugging her really tight!

HAHAHA! Ohmygosh! So adorable.

I'm pretty sure I wanted to be president for awhile back there. Mostly because I believed it was the same thing as world domination (and who doesn't want that? Plus, I would've made chocolate coins the form of currency...Who wouldn't vote for that?!).

I love your students (as always, and I haven't even met them...). That's pretty nice considering that little kids stress me out ;)

And that sums up why our country is out of shape physically, fiscally, and whateverly. Cheers VM!!

The older I get, the more I wonder at why children express interest in becoming President. Am I too cynical? Or, do good teachers keep teaching the basics of the system, as if our country's core is still sound, still viable, will still endure.

Whoa! Gotta turn off Eminem, sorry.

Man, I LIVE with a kindergartener and you STILL have better stories than me. Mine are just chock full of me being driven crazy, my fears that she won't be as smart as me, and her interesting dancing performances.

Nah, I wouldn't wanna RUN for President either. Couldn't I just drive instead?
