All is well.

I just received an email from our darling girl's family. They are all in Japan, and fine. I just wanted to ease everyone's mind!

Now, after weeping tears of joy, I am putting my make-up back on and heading off to school.

Today we will celebrate miracles.

  9. Yay! I was bawling after I heard the story about the girl studying in LA who had been crying from Friday to Sunday because she saw footage that her family's village had been wiped out, when a friend told her to look on youtube because they thought they saw her house. And after searching, she finally saw footage of her sister on a balcony with a sign saying, "we're all safe" - theirs was the only house that had not been swept away.

You probably know that story already, come to think of it. I'm sure it's news in the US.

  12. Answered prayers can cause tears and laughter all at the same time. I'm doing both!

God, we thank you for keeping them safe. And thank you for a teacher who loves even after the child has left the classroom, enough to ask a nation to pray for her safety!

    Amen!
