Even the devil is horrified. (I'll lose a billion followers, but I don't know how to count past 20 anyway.)

SNL??  I have never loved you more than I do now.

Cause even the devil knows when something wicked this way comes.

(Buckle up, everyone. I have a feeling it's going to be a long, bumpy ride...)

  4. At least you have a disclaimer with the idea that you may indeed lose a gazillion followers. And you have a vested interest in how things turn out.

I was at another blog a while ago, and I am sick that this topic is being used to increase traffic! Makes me sick.

I am so sad for these kids and all the family members including the ones that belong to the perpetrators.

  5. At first I cringed, but I have to say this sketch kind of says it all. If the Devil is appalled, wellll...

  7. Ahahaha...that sketch was awesome. SNL HAS to hit the major news lines and I love that they poked fun at it by basically saying what's happening at Penn State is worse than anything even the DEVIL could come up with.

    Genius.

  10. You didn't lose me, I kind of cringed when I saw that and I only cringed because I was hoping that you guys were okay! Thinking of you, your town, the victims. Hang in there!

  13. I'm staying - you can't get rid of me that easy! Of course I was raised on SNL being a teen and young adult in the 70's.

    So heartsick.

  14. I'm pretty entertained by the devil being behind all of the annoyances on the internet!

  15. I'm still here but I have to admit, not sure I think it was cool of SNL to use this for comedic purposes.

Every day there are more and more revelations. Sick. Sick. Sick Bastard.

  16. I don't know that I've ever left a comment here. And I'm sure I'll trip all over my words but let me try.

SNL started their 27th season just 18 days after the Twin Towers fell. Loren Michaels was worried about the show, but with the help and support of Mayor Giuliani, 'the show must go on' and it did.

The country has to laugh again. Maybe you don't want to today, maybe you won't feel like it tomorrow, but the country will laugh. It balances the sadness. It doesn't not trivialize it. (Nor am I trivializing it, even if my words sound like I am.. told you I'd trip over them).

I think SNL hit the perfect balance. Laugh, even the nervous laughter of the uncomfortable. But if there was an off beat point of view to this situation, I think seeing it as offensive to the Devil himself was spot on perfect.

Vodka Mom, I'll continue to read. I hope I haven't just completely offended every other one of your readers.
