Today, I am wrapping Sassy in a cloak of courage as we take the next step in "learning about life". We will make our way to the courthouse, and she will need to be brave. If you have a moment to send some thoughts our way – it would be greatly appreciated.
In attempt to lighten the moment, a few pearls from the kindergarten class.
“I don’t need a coat. I have body heat.”
“I don’t want to be a rich person when I grow up. I want to be a teacher!”
“My dog Ginger gave my brother’s Sponge Bob pillow the weiner torture…..so she threw it out.”
I hope that things go smoothly for you and Sassy today. Watch out for any stray dogs, or not so stray, giving out the weiner torture.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck today- court can get weird.. Happy T-day!
ReplyDeleteGood luck. Stay strong. However people are behaving or how weird court can be, she is unequivocally doing the right thing.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Sassy..chin up and stay strong!
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking of you and Sassy. Good Luck, and Happy Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteExpect the unexpected. Be strong.
ReplyDeleteExpect the unexpected. Be strong.
ReplyDeleteThe weiner torture!! LOL!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope things go well for you at court. :-)
Sending Sassy ALL sorts of good, courageous thoughts!
ReplyDeleteAnd do I want to know what the wiener torture is?
Nah.
Fallin' out of my chair here over the weiner torture comment... You Go, Ginger!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, Sassarooni Girl!

Good luck to you and Sassy! I have teenage daughters and can't imagine what she is going through. I am so happy she was so open and comfortable telling you. I only wish my kids will do the same if something ever happened. Sassy is so lucky to have you as a Mom!
ReplyDeleteYou should prepare by watching all the movies made from John Grisham novels, and then the Charles Bronson Death Wish series. That should get you pumped up for legal drama and retribution. Don't go soft on the asshole, I guess that's my point.
ReplyDeleteOh, and Happy Thanksgiving!
The weiner torture! Almost made me fall out of my chair I was laughing so hard! Good luck today - many good thoughts will be with you!
ReplyDeleteThe first time I had to got o court with my soon to be 20 year old was easy until she stood up in front of the judge. and I was sitting in the front row loosing it. The judge started reprimanding her for making me cry. Hope you get the same results
ReplyDeleteSending good vibes from Ohio :-)
ReplyDeleteSending a turkey stuffed with courage and a can of cranberry-flavored whoop ass. Peace!
ReplyDelete1. Sending all kinds of good thoughts for Sassy.
ReplyDelete2. "I don't want to be rich, I want to be a teacher." Heh. Astounding grasp of reality for a kindergartener.
3. I don't want to know what the weiner torture is. The less I know about the weiner torture, the happier my life will be. The mere words "weiner torture" strike fear in the hearts of men everywhere. So please, let's never speak of this again. Seriously.
Good luck to both of you!
ReplyDeleteBe strong, kick butt -
No mercy! Gotta keep the crap off the streets...
Make it all work out in court for you guys. Then have the nicest holiday, my VodkaMom!
ReplyDeleteSecretia
Sassy,
ReplyDeleteHead up, deep breath and never let them see that you're afraid.
How am I supposed to leave a serious comment after "wiener torture?" (By the way, Larry wiener tortures me all the freaking time! Sheesh.)
ReplyDeleteNow Sassy is going to be fine because she has the impenetrable wall of family and blog love surrounding her. Being brave is important - and a good thing to learn as early in life as possible. She's going to stand tall and be strong and fight the fight and win. And you will too. And I love you both. And I'll be standing right next to you in that court room. Count on it.
Courage, and good luck.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck. Go out for ice cream or something afterward.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I want to know what the "weiner torture" is...
ReplyDeleteHugs to you and Sassy today. The "Force" is strong in you both!
Thoughts, prayers and more are sent to you and Sassy. And wishes of "wiener torture" to others in the courtroom today, that deserve a good dose of WT! Take care.
ReplyDeleteDear God, the dreaded weiner torture. I've heard tales of its... elasticity? I don't really know.
ReplyDeleteGood luck at the courthouse! Know that we're all thinking about you guys and rooting you on.
Hopefully Georgie will get a sentence that carries with it some wiener torture. Sending you and Sassy some loving thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving.
I am so happy that you and your daughter are getting this taken care of. This is a huge life lesson. I had a stalker (old boyfriend) for a very long time when I was younger. It is really aggravating when people don't listen to you about your fear. The part about "it's not your fault is so important! I am saving all of your posts and suggestion for my daughters to read. I don't want to wait until after they experience something like this.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for sharing your experience.
Good luck, Sassy! Keep your head high and your strength up and borrow from your mom's strength if you need it!
ReplyDeleteEven if things don't turn out your way, I'm sure she knows she did the right thing.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow hopefully you can be thankful that it's all over.
Good luck.
Starts young with not wanting to wear a coat...sheesh my kids are grown
ReplyDeleteYou and Sassy are in my thoughts today. I'm sure everything will work out for the better. If not, let me know where to sign up for the butt-kicking party, k?

ReplyDeleteWeiner torture? Bwahahahahaha. I'm not going to even say what I thought when I read that. Just saying.
Have a terrific day. :)
Good luck to you and Sassy, and if there is any fairness in the world, the stalker will get death by wiener torture.

ReplyDelete“I don’t want to be a rich person when I grow up. I want to be a teacher!”
ReplyDeleteWell said. I like to think that teachers do a kind of professional community service--that or we're all just crazy!
Oh I hope it went well..I hope she calms down soon..for your sake.. give the girl a pillow and permission to hit it until all the stuffing is out. You all have a wonderful Thanksgiving:)
ReplyDeleteHoly shit! I go away for a few weeks and y'all get a stalker! I hope everything went well. Sending good vibes your way...
ReplyDeleteA Thanksgiving Limerick, DC-style:
ReplyDeleteI just heard that two turkeys’ demise
Was avoided, to their great surprise.
The big turkey in power,
In the eleventh hour,
Gave them pardon, along with the pies.
Hope you and yours have the Happiest!
Hope everything went well!
ReplyDeleteAnd Happy Thanksgiving! I'm so grateful you are in my life.
I can't find your email address on your page, anywhere, but I do have a positive outcome stalking story to tell if you want it.
ReplyDeleteCourage, Sassy. You didn't chose this, but you can chose to do something to stop it. Be strong.
ReplyDeleteWeiner torture? The things that come out of their mouths!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and Sassy!
