Me: “Now Frank, let’s try this again. I know you can do it! Listen carefully. Can you tell me a word that sounds the SAME as bat? That has the same ENDING? BAAAAAT..... .”
Frank, enthusaistically: “CAN!!!”
“Frank. Can and Bat do not rhyme.”
Frank: “They do in my house.”
And so endeth the lesson.

HA HA HA... Your conversations with Frank are like the conversations that I have with my demented mother!
Is the same Frank as last year, or are you blessed with a new Frank each year?
I wanna live at Franks house. It would make poetry writing easier.
PS I LOVED Dennis the Menace when I was a kid.
Frank..future CEO or WWF wrestler
Gosh, that frank, always makes me giggle ;)
From the title I just knew this post would feature Frank!
You go Frank. Break the moulds of convention and strike out on your own.
You're going to feel mighty silly if he ends up a poet laureate in his future!
Frank sounds like quite a character. Probably more fun to be around if you're not his teacher.
Why is Frank so much more interesting and fun to talk to than most of the people I remember talking to ... back in that country where I could understand what they were saying?
I just happen upon your blog .. and it has made my day!!! I'm your newest follower... HHL

Did you know that Frank is SO my son.
Well, he is actually not my son but he talks like my son.
It's a BRAND new Frank. It's just that I LOVE the name so much, I've decided to use it each year for my little devils!!
Well, the Dennis connection would explain a lot!
But Frank isn't really a Frank??? Oh, how disappointing! Here I thought there was a little kid whose name just inspired his attitude!! Now you tell us that he's really a Tom, Dick, or Harry, or worse, some name that's unpronouncable! My illusions are shattered.... Ohhhh, I wish you hadn't told us!!
LOL!
I so thought he was going to get the rhyme and say "CRAP!"
Frank had better get you a great gift come holiday time!
I love Frank!
Oh, Mr. Willlllll-soooon.
Kudos to you for knowing when to give up. Knowing me, I would have gone further and created "rhyming" issues for my kid.
I'm loving me some Frank. Sometimes I think I wanna go to school to be a teacher, then I go home to my children and realize that its safer (for my sanity)to stay right where I am. You on the other hand - you're an AWESOME teacher!
Love this! My little one is in K this year and I'm hearing all sorts of interesting things...like
Me: Stop picking your nose.
Her: I'm not, I'm just getting something out.
Sounds like a model student to me! ; )
I used to know the guy (Jay North) who played Dennis the Menace in the tv show. Nice guy.
Ahhh... I'm sure there will be OTHER things that you will learn are taught at Frank's house throughout the year... Looking forward to hearing about them! ;)
Frank may try your patience, but he is blogging GOLD!
He is going to be a politician!
Well let's thank our lucky stars that we don't live in THAT house!
You must have the patience of a saint.
