These are just one or two of my good friends.

That day? THAT day? We are all praying for that glorious day...

"I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."   MLK.

You said it all so very well, Martin.  And teachers, mothers, leaders and others are repeating your words every single day in the hopes that they will stick.

Yes, we (the mothers, teachers, leaders, etc) ARE repeating it daily. One day, VM, one day there will be NO bigotry....because we will have taught the children well.

Martin Luther King has ALWAYS been a hero to me! I can still remember the day he died. So devastating! I hope others took some time today to do what you did. Remember a great role model for everyone, regards of what color your skin is!!

Take care, Sue

I know that I teach my kids to see no color....The more we educate the better this world will be. Hatred is simply ignorance.

I'm lucky in that I didn't have to bother teaching my daughters that skin shade/religion/country of origin doesn't matter. We were lucky that our zoned elementary school was less than 1/2 a mile away from our home. Only about 30% of the kids were white (as are my daughters), so they really never noticed skin shades.
