LOVE this!! thank you for sharing :)
Yes, we (the mothers, teachers, leaders, etc) ARE repeating it daily. One day, VM, one day there will be NO bigotry....because we will have taught the children well.
Martin Luther King has ALWAYS been a hero to me! I can still remember the day he died. So devastating! I hope others took some time today to do what you did. Remember a great role model for everyone, regards of what color your skin is!!Take care, Sue
I know that I teach my kids to see no color....The more we educate the better this world will be. Hatred is simply ignorance. www.herandtheboys.blogspot.com
I'm lucky in that I didn't have to bother teaching my daughters that skin shade/religion/country of origin doesn't matter. We were lucky that our zoned elementary school was less than 1/2 a mile away from our home. Only about 30% of the kids were white (as are my daughters), so they really never noticed skin shades.
Thank you Dr King.
I love that quote vodka mom. Thanks for reminding me of it
nice bit of rememberance...that.
Somehow, I've never before heard that quote. It's a good one.
GREAT picture! Thanks
I teach this lesson every year... hoping it sticks with them the rest of their life
