Me: "John, are you sick?"
John: "I don't know, everytime I cough my Dad says I'm full of it...but I still have to come to school."

Yeah, this contest is still going on...a vote or two would be greatly appreciated....(I used to be Waitress Where's My Martini....and thank you so much if you already voted.)
And Bitchy and I thank you so much for the birthday wishes. And in case you were wondering, the letter made her cry. Just a bit.....

LOL! Gotta love little John. He'll have more fun things for you surely.
I have a daughter with that same cough. Sometimes it affects her stomach, too. I hope it's not contagious...
With the Swine Plague going around taking out entire schools, what's a little Whooping Cough between friends?
Too funny. I love that Dad!
The Bunny (my son) was BORN with that cough!
LOL...off to vote : )
My daughter is a faker from way back too! So glad Bitchy had a nice day.
HAhahaha I love it! Gosh that's cute/and poor kid - he sounds as if he's actually sick and not being a young Ferris Bueller!
LOL that's cute!!
haha. i may have said that once or maybe...yeah. glad the birthday went well.
My daughter tries it every day. I told her the next time she stays home she best throw up at my feet...or preferably her fathers
My oldest fakes being WELL so he won't miss school. LOL. He's got a lot to learn.
I think the parents just need to get the kids out of the house, no matter what so they can go to work.
Secretia! (SECRET STORY TIME)
Bitchy shedding even a few tears is very telling.
Love it! And I think that what Dove is doing to boost female self-esteem is wonderful!
Just so he's not full of the swine flu.
King Rufus had the very same problem as your student yesterday, literally. (Ask me about the fun day of colon exams, sonograms, etc......)
Thanks for the linky love!
Your timing is perfect. I kept Goom home from school today because he's had a cough for a week. Not sure it will do any good but maybe a day of rest is just what the doctor ordered.
Everyone around here is having bronchial problems...YUCK
much love
I never got to miss school unless there was significant fever and/or bleeding involved.
Or as I like to say, "Suck it up".
Poor John. My parents used to say the same thing to me. And look at me now! I'm still VERY bitter about it...
*cough *
What?
HAHA! I remember when I was younger. If we were too sick to go to school, we couldn't do anything but lay in bed. No toys, T.V., or video games. It was better to just go to school. I never missed a day (until high school).
As a child, we had to be on our death bed or go to school. My dad was a Doctor so there was no faking it. I think my son gets one over on me from time to time.
Let's hope that's all he's full of. But I kinda doubt it...
those kids...
gotta love 'em :)
Peace - Rene
I mentioned your Dove thing on my blog yesterday!
Cute! Reminds me of a story my niece told me about her son. She was expecting her second child last August. Will was in kindergarten, and he is ALL BOY!! Well, his dad had warned him that if he had to go to the office, he would get it when he got home.
Amy had sent a note to the principal to request permission for Will to miss school on the day she was supposed to have Maggie. The office called Will's classroom to tell his teacher that the letter was in the office for Will to take home. When his teacher told him that he needed to go to the office, he adamantly refused. He finally said, "My daddy said that if I ever go to the office, I'll get IT when I get home!"
The teacher was eventually able to convince him that he was NOT in any trouble and it would be okay to go. She sent a note home to Allen to ask him to explain to Will that there are some times when he might need to go to the office and he wouldn't get IT when he got home. LOL
cartoon was like how things go at my house.
love your blog.
You've been nominated for something else!!!!!!!
That is so something my ex-husband would say to the boy and then I would be the one to get the call from the teacher... :o)
Yeah, I've been "full of it" a lot lately.
LOL! Gotta love kids. :)
And, how much do I love you for posting that button? TONS. xoxo
