How to melt the teacher's heart.

This was on my desk this morning, after I spent a week of apparently yelling at every child in sight. You might not know that during the last seven days of school, even the GOOD go bad.

The difference? The ones who crack after 168 days of goodliness will write you an apology.

And probably end up in the prize box.

aw, such a sweet little apology letter. took me a minute to decipher it, but then my own kid isn't so far away from this version of spelling.

I was invited to one of my student's house to go swimming actually more like SWIMMINGGGG!!!!! even after I had words with her after cutting up her sandwich with scissors. Hmm maybe she had plans to drown me or something

yes... my students who have chose to argue an fight with one another ALL school year long decided to give a group hug at the end of the school day today.

I guess there is more than one way to make up for wrongdoings :)

Aww...makes all the insanity worthwhile, right? I am going to make my son write one this weekend to go along with the end-of-year flowers we are going to go hunt down for his teacher. Because she deserves something pretty and quiet that she doesn't have to yell at after dealing with my Kiddo all year. (If I find out one of your errant students gave you sunflowers Tuesday I'm going to freak out just a bit.)

I love the fact that this little one apologized. The end of the school year is hard... as a mom I'M counting down the days. I can't imagine how teachers feel.
