We were working on a little mini-unit on similes last week, and have been throwing them around left and right.
We read some incredible books, and the kids especially loved "as quiet as a thief in the night" or "as jumpy as a cat in a room full of rocking chairs."
However, my personal favorites are Sam's. These are the ones I'LL be sharing in conversations for years to come....
"It's like garlic climbing up someone's neck!"
or
"It stinks like a wet foam pit in here."
and my personal fav..."It's like a Club Tail on a hot Saturday night!"
I just love it when the kids "get" it.
