Exactly what IS your name, my friend?

Dear 弗兰克 , 弗兰克, 弗兰克 , FreeFun0616, or whatever your real name is:

I want to thank you for dropping by last night and leaving 184 comments on all of my posts last night! (Wait, the number might be increasing- I see your are leaving some AS WE SPEAK!)

I hope you found the posts funny, touching, intriguing, surprising and just downright fabulous.

However, I can't understand any of your insightful comments, as I DON'T SPEAK CHINESE.

So, while I appreciate the boost in my comment numbers and the VISITS, let's keep the comments in English, okay?

(I'd hate to have to take out a restraining order.)

(Oh, and can you spare a minute to go see what Dove is doing for Women- and the struggle my Sassy went through.....it's on-going...any advice would be appreciated.)

I hate that stuff, just saying.

Ahhh, hon? I think 184 comments in one night is stalker material. I'd get the restraining order...Oh wait! I 185, no 6, no 7, no 8, no..Ok, f**k it. I can't count that high...

This has been happening to me lately as well. It's been ongoing. Every day all of a sudden there's Chinese on different posts.

DA! DA! da da da da dahhh...

I wish there was a widget to translate the Chinese comments.

I am sure the thoughts were lovely. I am sure they had nothing to do with viagra, or xanax, or cimbalta, or anything else like that.

Let's all go spam HIS blog! Yeah, that'll show him.

Unknown said...

It's a pain in the butt when we "ordinary" bloggers are spammed by these people so I can't imagine what's it like when one has as many followers as you do, thus getting tons more comments per post! Restraining order definitely.

darsden said...

Yes, that stinks, wish we could get blogger on them and find a way block their butt without word verification on. Cuz that really up sets Braja... ;-)

darsden said...

excuse me VM...Mango You might be able to copy and paste to google translates. Might have to do it in sections.

I'm getting those too, repeatedly on only one of my posts. I keep zapping them with my delete button, like an electronic sword fight. Apparently the Asian word master likes the idea of "Exercise in Futility."

That 弗兰克 , 弗兰克, 弗兰克 is a busy person. He/she has visited my blog before also. Kind of them to stop by but at the speed that they comment I'm not sure they are human.

Good luck to Sassy

Jenni said...

I can't read Chinese...but I am pretty sure he is asking you to run away with him and have some babies with names spelled with cool characters we can't read...

Craig Glenn said...

I get those too, but not that many. I ran the first few through google translator...

I am pretty sure I have an admirer over in China and she love me long time!

Ok it could be a guy, i don't know. That's why I quite translating and just started making up the translation on my own. Much more fun and flattering that way. In fact I am sure I just won the Chinese lottery! YAY

He is one busy man! I get a new comment every Friday...I translated on Babblefish but it still doesn't make sense!?!?

Pseudo said...

I've seen the Chinese comments. i am trying to figure out what the point is...I mean really.

SkylersDad said...

He has dropped by my place on occasion, and I am sure it has something to do with penis lengthening.

Keyona said...

Hmm...I just about take comments in any language. I can just make up what I think it says.

Anonymous said...

I love comments...but it does help if we can read them...lol

Adrienne said...

And it looks so pretty, too. I advise against getting any of that tattooed anywhere, however.

Buckeroomama said...

That's why I moderate all comments now...

I just went back to see what he/she was saying in the comments, but I cannot make sense of it. Seems like some kind of a "poem" of sorts. The only key word I could understand is "hotel." I wanted to copy down the two characters to show you, but didn't realize that the whole comment was a link (ugh!) to a Taiwan site!! Very weird. Definitely spam.

When I comment I almost always tick norely so that I can see if the recipient answers. I get those symbols everyday from the idiot on your blog. I mean 'what is the point?' What do they get out of it and can the blogland police not get rid?

Leave some room for us real people!

We always want to talk to you!

My foreign stalker is Russian. Sometimes he speaks to me in a very "all your base are belong to us" manner. I read his comments, sigh, and then hit the "delete" button in the spam queue, because Wordpress is awesome that way.

And all is right with the world.

Boozy Tooth said...

That happened to me too. It's like the robo-dialer of the blog world. If you click on the hieroglyphics, it will probably take you to an Asian blog packed with advertisements. Is there anyway to block that stuff without having to engage the dreaded word verification business?

Marinka said...

I saw that! It's nice to have a new reader...

Maureen@IslandRoar said...

Let us know how this gets solved.
And love the Sassy story; so important. I have the same issue with one of my daughters...

This kind of stuff really riles me. Partly because the great god Blogger seems so helpless, partly because getting 184 illegible emails pounding my Blackberry is about as much fun icecream headaches and most of all that horrible 'damn you' feeling of frustration as you see the comments roll in.

Anyway, happy Tuesday...;)

I wonder if your 弗兰克 , 弗兰克, 弗兰克 is the same 弗兰克 , 弗兰克, 弗兰克 that will leave all sorts of comments on my blog. I'm all, "Dude, what are you SAYING?"

Lynn said...

I hope that by leaving you this message, I am not leading Long Duck Dong to my blog.

Silly Putty. Sooo tempting!

Carrieann said...

You mean that none of you understand what he/she is saying? Aren't you guys up on your Chinese?!

Mike said...

I will translate this for you, because I am a stinkin' genius!:
弗兰克 , 弗兰克, 弗兰克 = General Tso's Chicken with rice and an eggroll!

Any questions?? hahaha!

I think it is the ESL kids in your class pranking you.

You've been found by STUDENTS!!!!

(or maybe not.)

You know that spammer, formerly known as 弗兰克 , 弗兰克, 弗兰克 ? Yeah, well I had them piddle all over my comments as well, so I took a chunk if it and had it translated (because The Google is a many-splendored thing, ya know). It turns out it's a bunch of random words stuck together, though "menacing" and "town" together seemed kind of creepy to me.

Give 'em hell girl!!!

Lawyer Mom said...

I've gotten those &*^%$$%**?! weird nonsensical comments too, although not nearly as many as you. Still, take heart, Vodka Mom. Stiletto Mom says it means you've ARRIVED!

Cheers!

Cora said...

Hey!! I know that guy!! He left me about 30 comments one day and I thought the same thing you did ~ does he really think I speak Chinese? I mean, didn't he bother to notice my entire blog is written in English? Hello?

Unknown said...

I think I've learnt not to open or link to weird comments on my blog...scared of my computer dying a slow death....

Unknown said...

LOL-I get this too it will be a bunch of chinese characters then a word in english then more chinese characters

Nina said...

It's beautiful music... if you dare to click on the "links". I wonder if they know it comes over here in their language and not translated... Oh well.... Love and Light, Nina P

481 comments?! That is a lot to say!

I had no idea that spam was such a delicacy in China?

Lisa said...

Oh My Goddess sent me here.

I'm impressed, you may not speak chinese but you can do chinese :)

I do not have a spam filter. Does this mean, if they attack, they attack by the numbers!

That guy has visited me a couple of times, too!
