The Question of the Day

"Mrs. Smythe, Can I tell you something? You know that caterpillar we had in our classroom last week? It turned into a racoon!"

That was SOME incredible caterpillar.

When you get a chance, please stop by my blog. I've posted an award for you!

Aren't they just precious?!

I wish our catterpillers would make it past the cacoon stage - they always seem to die in there. We've started just looking at them and letting them crawl on our hands for a bit and then letting them go. If they die at least I know it wasn't my fault.

Look, I'm just posting a comment before ten thousand other people do.

So you're studying megamorphosis
then? Or is it maximorphosis? I'm not so good with science-ishness.

You're lucky, VodkaMom, the raccoon is much nicer than any caterpillar!

I was robbed! I've been watching caterpillars metamorphose for years now in my classroom and never once have I gotten anything as cool as a raccoon! All I ever got was butterflies. I must be doing something wrong! Dang!

Looks like the racoon ate the caterpillar and about a million of its friends too!

Amen.

Did the raccoon have wings tho?

That is one cute raccoon, and his furry tail does resemble a catterpillar.
