12/20/10

The only thing that would complete this week would be a full blown blizzard.

I spent most of today trying to re-direct Frank.

First, I spent the better part of morning meeting explaining to him why talking about guns, hunting, shooting animals, eating road-kill and how people freezing to death in the winter were not appropriate things to be sharing with your fellow FIVE-YEAR OLDS.

Then, I had to interrogate him during free play in front of the (scared) six other boys he was playing with until I finally managed to get him to admit that he was talking about bringing in his NERF gun for tomorrow’s show and tell, and not his REAL gun. And yes, he was just kidding when he said there were guns in his backpack. He meant to "thay GUM."

Finally, during math time Alicia informed me that Frank told her and her best friend Kat that he was going to kiss BOTH of them in the coat closet at the end of the day. (You know Mrs. Smythe, he really, really likes me.) It took ten minutes of valuable math center time to convince Frank that he was NOT to be kissing the girls, and truth be told they were not his girlfriends at ALL if they hadn’t agreed to be his girlfriends. In the end he just decided to break up with them.

Whew.

And on a final note to Mother Nature, the teachers in the free world would like to thank for not only throwing in a full moon one day before Christmas break, but adding the lunar eclipse.

Touche.

Oh Frankie. . . He's a challenge isn't he?
Makes one wonder what his home life is like?
Then again, one may not want to know.

I think he has successfully won all our hearts during this first semester.

Do you think he would be available for show and tell after he graduates Kindergarten?
We're gonna miss him!

You just brought back some of my fondest memories of being a 5-6 year old man of the world.

LOL! This certainly explains you blog name! I blogged today about what my 6 year old Aspie daughter told her crush. She told him she loved him. When he said, "EWWWWWWW" she said that's to be expected from a six year old boy. Then she proclaimed him her boyfriend. LOL

Frank is the son my husband never had! Although our four daughters love road kill and anything dad kills....deer, turkey, rabbits, squirrels. I'm thinking Frank needs to hook up with my six year old :) We love you Frank!

Are you sure his name is Frank... in my room his name is Josh... and I too love him VERY much... I just go home VERY TIRED...EVERY DAY.

BTW - Our vacation hasn't started yet... Tuesday is our last day... HOWEVER we DID get a SNOW DAY today.

As glorious as it was ~ I can only imagine the lack of control I will have over those little people tomorrow.

Ewww...ya, that full moon's gonna be a bitch to teachers. Sorry 'bout that since I'm sure I'm contributing one or two new curse words to my children's teachers' vocabulary by letting them stay up to watch the lunar eclipse.

And NOW I know why our school let my monkies, er, children out on Friday! Full Moon and an eclipse!

I have a feeling that Frank's parents are going to be very, very grateful when Christmas break is over!

Can you see him with a teacher not willing or able to deal with him?

It's sad, but I've know teachers like that. He is 5 years old, and I wish he could stay with you always.

I hope he gets a teacher as wonderful as you for first grade.

You know how amazing you are right? Every child should have a teacher as understanding and patient as you. For real.

Thank you for entering my giveaway! Cause you know, you're freakin' Vodkamom and I adore you dude!

The full moon effect is real! Teachers everywhere know that for a fact. And an eclipse on top? Bah, humbug!

Oh Frank! :) He seems adorable but adorable being someone else's child. :).... now the hunting, guns and all that jazz... worries me. My son is already going out into the field with his dad. he's 3. I'm concerned what he's going to say in school in a few years. Oh MY!!
