I'm pretty sure I wouldn't fit into one of THOSE, either.

We were working furiously on our “Animals of the Forest” books during reading this morning, when Sasha remembered something from the night before.

“Hey!  I saw Ms. Perky lasternight when I was at swimming lessons!”

“I didn’t know you were taking swimming lessons!” I said.  “What kind of cool bathing suit do you have?”

“It’s a zucchini.  And it’s pink and bwue!”

I don’t know about her, but putting on a zucchini in January gives me the shivers….

(Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, indeed.)

It took me a minute too. It's good that I don't work with young kids... I'd be even more confused than I already am!

Here in Miami, even people who really should abstain wear zucchinis in January.

I'd rather wear a zucchini than a bikini!

i'm laughing because no matter what age we teach we are constantly having conversations that are so bizarre to the real world. like a seventh grade boy who asked if there needed to be a mystery mark at the end of that sentence. sure was a mystery to me until he showed it: a question mark.
