3/12/12

Sometimes- well MOST of the time, you need to let your heart remember what it was like. (And then do it.)

I spent 15 minutes of recess sailing gloriously through the sky with most of my class on the 12 large swings on the playground.

And it really was glorious.

(They were squealing with delight.  And so was I.)

OMG, I still love to swing on a swing at the park. I can't wait til my niece is old enough to do it, so I can, too, without looking like a lunatic. :P

I agree, it's a good feeling to feel young again by thinking our childhood

Swings give me motion sickness now. I try not to think of this as an analogy for my life...

Swings never did it for me. Motion sickness. I was a pusher--as in, I pushed everyone else. Not necessarily great fun for me, but the swingers loved it!

Careful, don't let the teacher catch you jumping out of the swings.

Love swinging! Such fun for the kids to watch you at it, I'm sure!

Cool they didn't make you push them and you got to swing yourself.

When I was in high school and feeling really alone, I'd hop on my bike, ride down to the local park and swing on the swings. They used to always make me sick, but there was something about kicking your legs to the sky, the wind rushing past your face, that made me feel invincible and not so alone for just a little while. I imagine that's what you captured there for a moment, too. I haven't been to visit your posts much as of late, but spent some time catching up. You've made me laugh, cry, and sigh, all in a matter of minutes. What a way to start the day. May you soar again today. :)

Swings are the best piece of playgroup equipment by far.

I wish our school board hadn't taken out all the swings in the playgrounds. They thought they were too hazardous. Maybe if they taught the kids to not walk in front of them they could have kept them.
I miss swinging.
