I'll take "I Should Have Known That" for $200, Alex.

"Mrs Smith, you know that wedding I went to in Miss Concert? (Wisconsin) I got new Tick Tocks for it! "

Me: "Tick Tocks? What are tick tocks?"

Susie: "You know TICK TOCKS. When you put them on and walk they go TICK TOCK TICK TOCK on the floor!" Big Smile.

Silly me.

As a child I was very embarrassed one whole school year because my new shoes squeaked and the kids all made fun of me. I spent all of one Saturday morning "getting the squeak out of them".

Well, that's one description I've never heard of before. Cool!

Oh, to be young enough to appreciate "tick tocks!"

Working in the library, I'm constantly trying to silence mine.

We put Tick Tocks on our smallest trick-or-treater this year so we could find her by the sound. Worked like a charm.

Wish I could get me some new tick tocks. But we're staring down the barrel of unemployment, so the only new tick tocks I'm going to be able to afford will have to look good with a Denny's uniform.

Ya, Hubby does not appreciate it when I wear my boots on our tile and hardwood floors cuz they go 'tick tock' and he can't hear the TV. *sigh* Oh Lordy, it's always sumpin'.

What a perfect description! The Pixie had some dress up Tick Tock's on this year, I can't believe she made it around the block in those things!

I loved "tick tocks" when I was a kid - wish I had known that name for them! Then I'd have known how to ask Santa for them for Christmas!

And just like that, TickTock.com, the world's best online shoe store, was born. Catchy, isn't it?

I could go for some real Miss Concert Cheddar and fresh Italian bread right now. Mmmmmm...

I always love it when my shoes gives out a squeak when I walk in home on a rainy day, all drenched! It reminds me of my toddler days!

My son graced me with two such comments yesterday. As we're eating dinner and he's saying the blessing, "....give us Lord our daily breath, Amen." Then as he was carrying money around I asked him where he was going to put it and he replied, "In my pinky bank."

I love that!

Very funny...when my girls were little, they called them "clap" shoes. They loved to wear them with their "belly shirts."

(don't worry, they never left the house in "belly shirts.")
