As a child I was very embarrassed one whole school year because my new shoes squeaked and the kids all made fun of me. I spent all of one Saturday morning "getting the squeak out of them".

We put Tick Tocks on our smallest trick-or-treater this year so we could find her by the sound. Worked like a charm.
Wish I could get me some new tick tocks. But we're staring down the barrel of unemployment, so the only new tick tocks I'm going to be able to afford will have to look good with a Denny's uniform.
Ya, Hubby does not appreciate it when I wear my boots on our tile and hardwood floors cuz they go 'tick tock' and he can't hear the TV. *sigh* Oh Lordy, it's always sumpin'.

My son graced me with two such comments yesterday. As we're eating dinner and he's saying the blessing, "....give us Lord our daily breath, Amen." Then as he was carrying money around I asked him where he was going to put it and he replied, "In my pinky bank."

Very funny...when my girls were little, they called them "clap" shoes. They loved to wear them with their "belly shirts."
