Night breezes seem to whisper, I love you.

My father came for a visit last night.

We stood in a kitchen while he drank a glass of iced tea and talked of lawn mowers and hot summer days. I watched him intently, and listened to his soothing voice. It was like a song I hadn't heard for so long, and I drank it in.

And then, he wrapped me in his arms and held me.

How sweet... it's like he's letting you know that he's got you in his arms especially during the days you need it the most.

Fabulous dream. I have told you before about my grandparents coming to me in my dreams to see my children. It's so comforting.

I miss my daddy's hugs.

That song is just so tender. I've always loved hearing it. Just sort of carries me away for a few minutes. A shame Mama Cass died so young.

That's so comforting. I wish my parents would come to visit me from the great beyond. They rarely do.

This is for Mandy. I once had a dream that my (then) husband's parents got permission to come down from heaven to meet our kids. They had passed on before I met my ex.

Nothing makes me feel better like a hug from my daddy. And, after the roller coaster that you have been on these past few weeks, you deserve a hug from your daddy. :)

I find there is nothing better than having a hug from your daddy :)

Thanks for the dream sequence - they can be comforting and sad both at the same time. But they are there to remind us who we are and what's important.

I know that feeling! Thank goodness for those visits!

I haven't had one of those in a long time, I envy you.

If there was one thing that I would ask for from the universe it would be just one more hug; I'll take a dream hug anytime.

I LOVE THESE kinds of dreams. I haven't had one of my father or my grandmother for a loooong time.

I wish I could will them upon my night sleep, b/c I ADORE those dreams.
I loved this post.

What a beautiful dream.

This has always been one of my favorite songs, and I sang it Stud Muffin every night at bedtime for almost a decade. (Yes, he put up with my need to keep him a baby for a long time!) I made him a CD once of all the songs that made me think of him, and this was the first one.

BTW, I had the most bizarre dream last night, that had me on a cruise with Jeffery Dahmer!!! Yikes! What the HELL do you think THAT means?!

Such brief words...but they made me cry.

I have these kind of dreams too few and far between.

How wonderful your father comes to visit. I just lost my husband (52) 10 days ago and pray every night he will come to me and kids. I worry about them. They are 20, 18 and 16... I hope they remember everything he tried to teach them during his short time here.

You must have a great relationship with your dad. You're so lucky to still have him. Doug and I both lost our dad's when we were in our early 30's. Our kids never knew either of their grandfathers.

I love it when I dream about my dad. Waking up it seemed so real; I wonder if it is in some metaphysical way.

Sweet dreams!

I would LOVE to have a dad like that!

Unfortunately, mine isn't.

I love it when they come visiting that way - when you need them most.

Everytime I hear this song, I weep. It's the song my dad made an 8-track "loop" of when we brought my little brother home from the hospital. Our family dynamic (sadly) later unfolded with him having a second family and an extensive "secret" life, but this song, THIS song reminds me of the Daddy I love.

Thank you!
(and how have I not been here before now? New follower...)

Peace to you, Vodkamom-sister
