What Not to Do.

We have many different tools and tricks we use to coax these darling children to read. One strategy is using "nonsense" words to help the children with their sounding out skills.

However, I will never use these two words with Frank.

At least not after yesterday.

"HEY! I hewd that word before!!!"

Oh Sweet Lord.

I have to tell you. That kid needs to be bottled and sold. My husband and I were discussing "Frank" last night and I said "I bet that every year that there's a Frank". Now, I'm not so sure anymore. Hahahaha

I can only imagine what my son's teachers thought of us :(
He had a colorful way with words at a young age.. based on things he heard at home.. not me ! I never say "bad words" lol

I want to know more about his home life. Are we to understand that he hears this on an everyday basis from his parents, or just once in a while like most homes?
(My 7 y/o told me he'd used the F word the other day. Turned out to be "fart". Phew!)

I'll be first in line to buy the "About Frank" book! He is such a riot! And then you come back with something just as funny!
Thanks for sharing your days with us.

A "fak" is a true thing that is known.

"Vuc" is a short slang term for vaccuum...

What?

The brothers and I used to have a great time trying to get a cousin to say 'glass' and 'truck'. Somehow I think it would be just as fun with Frank. ; )

Good Luck or do I mean good fak ?

You are cutting Frank in on the profits from your BlogHer ads, right? The boy deserves a share.

Yes. . . so did my sweet boy in first grade. In fact, he heard it on the playground.
When Amy arrived to pick him up after school that day, he promptly asked her what it meant.

Boys. . . . God I love 'em! Especially at that age!
