Bitchy has been begging me for months to buy her a ridiculously high-priced necklace. I’ve chosen to ignore her.
Today I picked her up from her APARTMENT on campus, got her laundry, and dropped her at work before I went home to pay bills. (Which always cheers me up.)
An hour later she text messaged me, “You know what would go great with my outfit today?”
“Yeah.” I replied, “A good attitude.”
Sha-BAM. (Oh yeah, I’m back. I’m back!)

smiles...yes you do have it...
Oh yeah!
You're back, and you're FABULOUS!!
I wonder if she texted her dad?
Sha-Bam!
You are awesome!
The best accessory is a good smile.
Agree with Scope!
I am (nearly) speechless. A condition that appears not to occur very often with your young folks.
Attitude seems to have overshadowed gratitude . . .
Anyhow, your sanity is important to us, please don't wait for the beep - just hang up when you hear/see these conversations coming.
faithful follower
I know that she's your daughter and you love her but oh my holy hell the entitled attitude! She does realize, doesn't she, that you are now on your own and have no one to help with the bills, etc?
However, won't it be wonderful one day when she has a Bitchy of her own and when she complains, you can sit back and laugh and laugh.
Back?! You were never gone, lovely lady. :-)
i know I shouldn't go there, but I am having trouble not being angry with your daughter. She needs to wake up to how hard you work and how much you care.
sorry...
Oh man, I have just stayed up way too late being way too sucked in to reading backwards. Love your blog, great writing. Thank you for sharing your life stories.
Or...

"five minutes peace"

So glad I found this site and you. Forget her attitude it's yours that rocks the Casba! I had to go there. Sorry.
