And here I thought it was flowers...

Our little Macy has a ton of admirers.  I have to constantly move the boys who crowd around her on the carpet as if she were made of legos.

I called her on it during our “reading group” time this morning.

“Macy, why are all the boys in this class in love with you?” I asked with a laugh.

“I have NO idea,” she replied, wide-eyed.  “Anyways, I like Gregg Dabagger.”

 )
“WHO?” I asked in surprise. (I thought with all my might, but I didn’t recall anyone in first grade named Gregg  Dabagger.)

“Gregg Dabagger. You know.  He works at da grocery store!  He puts our food in da bags and he always gives me stickers.”

(Hear that boys?  Stickers are the way to a girl’s heart. )

Wanna hear something funny? The first time I read "Gregg Dabagger" my first thought was "Gregg, the bagger" and it made me giggle. I AM a Chicagoan, after all, and that's EXACTLY how it's said here!!

Tell Macy to be careful. If you remember, I ended up marrying Magnum Dabagger!!

Hahahaha! I'll have to pass this little nugget of wisdom on to my son and his friends. I'm sure it still works with college age girls....right?

That is hilarious! I laughed out (so) loud at the end. I wonder if he's related to john daTowGuy or brian daManager because that's how I talk too!
