I NEVER thought I'd see the day...

Dear Bitchy,

Hold the phone. HOLD THE PHONE!!!!  Was I dreaming last night, or did you actually hang out with your SISTER Sassy all night?  Did you go have coffee?  Did you really go play bingo at that little carnival?  Did you HANG OUT on the trampoline all night without pulling each other’s hair out?

Someone call Will Smith and tell him to get his green jumpsuit ready – the world is coming to an end.

Be on alert. They are obviously plotting against you. You know, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Oh, isn't that the BEST!?!

I remember the first time my lovable teenagers "hung out". Shocking, truly shocking. Then I realized that the younger was using the older because he had his license.

Both girls will have a good fight for you today :-) Moments of sibling love last about 24 hours before they wake up to hate each other!!

Enjoy!

Fabulous!

But don't get too excited. I'm sure they're over it by now. ;)

Awww.... before you know it, she may even want to spend time with the parents. My mom said we turned "human" again around age 21, so you don't have long to wait.

They're getting older, they actually maturing! I saw my two girls do the same thing... which was a long way from one locking the other in the attic!

There doesn't even need to be a good story because every time I see the nicknames Bitchy and Sassy, I totally crack up.

Unknown said...

Sassy should think of that scar you put on her leg like a love heart carved into a tree. :)

This is supposed to be funny.

Peace - Rene

Well, that's it, it's all over: they're on drugs...

obviously they are plotting against you -- all that quality time alone? you better watch you back.

DKC said...

Yay for sisters!

Although I'm sure all that love is probably over by now.

Ah, they're growing up. I think I might shed a tear!

CSY said...

I'd be careful if I were you - they were on the trampoline plotting what to do with the inheritance that they'll get...make sure THEY eat the food first...

LOL It's great when sisters hit that age where they can actually stand each other :)

I have four girls and they are four years apart (as in 11,9,7,7). When I found out we would have all girls I had visions of all the fun they'd have together... how close they'd be. I think it was more of a fantasy, but I'm hopeful that they'll find what your girls have (at least yesterday!) someday :)

Reminds me of something my mother told me once: If the kids are playing, and all of a sudden it's too quiet in the house, something's up!

Funny about the green jumpsuit comment...Pale Rider told me there is something in the paper today about Scientology coming apart...gee, really?

Glad the girls had fun together!!!

Sisters! I remember one time, not that long ago when my two girls got in a fight over who could use the washer, not sure if their was hair pulling, but there was some pushing & shoving and bouncing of the washing machine. I just walked in my room!

If they are anything like my sister and I, they'll be good friends when they are much older :).

There is magic between sisters. It developes life-long. It is only beginning to bloom. Luck to have sisters.

I love a minute when my two act like they actually like each other.

You know this could all be a plot to lull you into a false sense of security, right? :P

I'm reminded of a song that went something like, "be nice to your siblings, they are the strongest connection -- link to your past ... " So true!

Well, enjoy this little moment as things will get back to normal very soon. I can see a big fight right around the corner. Just saying.

Have a terrific day. :)

Isn't it wonderful! The same thing happened at my house when the first one went to college. Now they are best friends and conspire against me. YAY! *sigh*

Mine have been known to get along on rare occasions--usually to gang up on me.

Fast forward ten years. They are both holding babies and talking to each other. You are in the background, stirring something. Me I love my two sisters more than anything and we used to yank each other around by the hair.

I just got a floating layer ad while I was trying to comment. I'm glad I'm not the only one who opted for these annoying things. What are we talking about again?

I would be wondering what she wanted. My eldest only hangs out with his little brother when he's trying to butter me up for something that he wants really REALLY bad...Just a thought.

OMG. That is *awesome*!!!! I've been lucky - my two have always been friends (that is b/c it is a boy and girl - two girls - good luck!!!)

I'm amazed they both lived to tell the tale.........

Usually only one returns.

A new day is dawning. I think they finally realized that they really do like each other.

In our house, sibling rivalry is elevated to an extreme sport. We have seven kids, so there's a near-infinite number of intriguing sibling face-off possibilities...

KMcJoseph said...

I have a blue jumpsuit. Does that count?

SSP said...

there is hope for them yet. If they can have moments of toleration now, you can expect they will have more when they grow up. I used to hold my sister down and SPIT in her mouth.....we are, fortunately, much MUSCH better friends now!!

When I realized my college-aged daughter and high school son were suddenly getting along beautifully, I told my then-husband about it. I couldn't understand what happened to allow this to occur. He said, "Oh, it's easy! They now have a common enemy.. Danielle!"
Now the 3 of them have abandoned me and left me to deal with the she-devil alone. Nice, huh.

Oh holy hell.

Did you hang out in the bushes and take pictures like the paparazzi?

I would have.

There is the possibility that Bitchy is helping Sassy plot revenge for the poor sucker who made the mistake of dumping Sassy after the Prom! Whew, I'd hate to have to go up against a pair of angry sisters out for revenge.

I bet Bitchy even knows some great places to hide the body.

Oh no - that couldn't be it . . . I'm sure they were discussing the latest Barbi accessories! Yeah, that's it!

Happy Wednesday!

Holy shit! She BIT her??? That's never good. My oldest sister used to bite the 3rd child when she was a baby and blame child number 2.

Don't look now but your girls might just be turning into...dare I say it?...friends.

Yikes.

Anonymous said...

That's so sweet that they are being nice to one another. :)

Adrienne said...

Is it something in the air? My kids just started hanging out together. I hope they're not plotting something.
Laughing about the biting thing - my daughter did that to baby brother, too.

we_be_toys said...

I believe you might be right about the end of the world. Then again, maybe that whole sibling rivalry thing is just an act they put on for our benefit (or misery, if you will). Kind of makes me wonder what they're up to...

Kris said...

My big sis and I use to fight like crazy. We're now best friends.

Joanie said...

It's possible.

At Easter, the daughter and the son and the daughter's two friends went behind closed doors to play Scrabble. We only knew because we peeked in and witnessed it. No arguing or anything. Just serious scrabbling.

Tell me that's not one of the seven signs of the apocalypse or something.
