Sweet and Salty. It's just how I roll.

Today was quite a busy day for my heart.

FIRST, this made me laugh!

Then when I got home...this made me cry.

Now pass me a *$&# tissue, would ya?

Love the boots and the cap and gown has to be a great parent moment. Maybe I will have that moment in a few years--if I don't have a stroke first...)

Love the boots - lose the cap & gown. I'm so NOT ready for that... I have trouble seeing my 10 year old going through puberty!

Oh man, here's some kleenex. Give me one, will ya?

If you gotta wear rainboots - they might as well be ones that make you smile!

Yes, the passage of time. They grow so very fast! That's why it's important we enjoy the time we have with our kids. Or at least the good times we have with our kids, not so much the times we want to kill them!
Take care, Sue

I tell ya. There are some really fun boots in the stores this year. I would soooo wear those pink kitty face boots if they came in my size and I'm not even a cat person.

Your feet are far smaller than I imagined, and your dress far more colourful. But on the whole, I'm not surprised.

Oh, I know how you feel; I wanted to cry just seeing that too, and mine graduated one and 4 years ago. And it's still 2 more years till the last.
Love those boots. Both ends of the parenting heart being wrenched, so to speak.

I promise, you will get through the graduation thing! When my youngest graduates, I am going to strip naked and dance through the house :)

The site of that cap and gown made my stomach drop. Oh dear. These teens work us. They drive us crazy and the thought of them leaving is enough to send us over the edge.

Life is full of these bittersweet moments. I know that you are so proud though. I still have 16 more years to prepare for that moment since I've just started my family but I know I'm going to be a blubbering mess that will try my best not to embarrass my daughter.
